Call handling in NG112 must handle emergency identity, callback, location display, transfers, media, notes, logging and sometimes integration with CAD or GIS. A voice-only call-taking position will not expose the full value of NG112 data.

What it does

IP call handling is the PSAP-side capability to answer and manage emergency sessions delivered through modern IP networks.

It is where the incoming emergency session becomes an operational conversation and dispatch workflow.
