Wi-Fi Calling Emergency Access
Wi-Fi calling can make a mobile device behave like it is reachable through an IP access network rather than a macro cellular site. Emergency location may depend on registered addresses, device-derived location, network-derived clues or operator-specific behavior.
What it does
Wi-Fi calling creates emergency-location challenges because the voice access path may not reveal the caller's physical location.
It is an access-network case that tests whether emergency location remains accurate away from cellular coverage.
How it works
